Rock Climbing Techniques — Sasha Digiulian talks about climbing:techniques, philosophy, and goals
All-star rock climbing phenomenon Sasha Digiulian talks about her motivations and what keeps her going. This interview, which originally aired on the Rock and Ice youtube channel, is a rare glimpse into the heart and soul of a woman who was born to climb.
No stranger to sport climbing and bouldering, Digiulian plans to apply her technical skills to big walls. Though she is small, she finds inspiration from other climbers and learns to overcome difficult problems. One of her main inspirations is Chris Sharma.
Even though she has won multiple championships, she plans to pursue her education at Columbia University in New York City. In the video, she explains that she’ll use every spare minute she has to continue to excel in the sport and practice her rock climbing techniques.
“There’s no reason not to challenge yourself,” she says, “no reason not to climb everything that inspires you aesthetically and is physically challenging.”
